This week, the ESS Neutron Scattering Systems (NSS) division hosted the meeting of the ICEB (Instrument Consortium Executive Board) led by the German In-Kind Partner Forschungszentrum Jülich (FZJ). The meeting focused on four of the 15 instruments under construction: DREAM, SKADI, MAGIC and TREX.

The Instrument Consortium Executive Board, ICEB, meets twice per year to share and discuss various aspects of the progress within each instrument collaboration, including scheduling, technical matters, and collaboration among the In-Kind Partners involved.
Through discussions and planning sessions, the ICEB meetings have been extremely useful in establishing a clear roadmap for the 15 instruments currently under construction at ESS, with the active participation of all In-Kind partners.

The ICEB meeting held this week, which also included a tour of the instrument halls, was led by FZJ and attended by representatives from all the other In-Kind Partners involved in these four instruments: Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) in Switzerland, Laboratoire Léon Brillouin (LLB) in France, and National Research Council (CNR) of Italy.

Additionally, the SKADI team combined their visit to Lund with a schedule replanning workshop with the NSS management team, ongoing throughout the week.

Schedule replanning for MAGIC and TREX, along with other instruments, will take place in the first half of 2024.
